Enough trash talking, it's time to get serious.

If you've got a personal problem with the sport, then be honest about it.

If you think it's a great idea to take the slow route to improving yourself, that's your thinking.

But when analyzing the situation, please at least go through the facts properly and take a look at the realities. There's so much ridiculousness out there in the way this whole thing was originally set up, the poor guys there are just victims of what is a very stupid and arbitrary way to run a competition.

Had things been done the good and proper way, they'd be put in a pool where they had much more of a chance to advance. As it is, the entire way in which this whole thing was done was absolutely ridiculous.

Sure, the guys did poorly in certain aspects, but focus your fire on the people who screwed up, not everyone else who were made to pay for their mistakes because individual errors cause collective punishment.

And you call yourself editor of an esteemed newspaper.

As for you, next time, please have the willingness to defend yourself, rather than wait for other people to voluntarily defend you. You're lucky I felt like defending you this time because the other party was stupid. You might not always be so lucky.

Happiness
is singing
the songs you love...

So I went singing again. As I always do. At the usual place.

And this time, for the first time, you are there.

Getting you to come was difficult, and you were whining a little about how tired you were. I know, you weren't whining that hard. It wasn't that kind of protest-ish whine. I don't know what to call it... I don't want to give it an inaccurate name, and I don't want to give myself ideas.

I just felt I had to encourage you to come. Okay, so I went a bit pouty and stuff here and there, acting like the little kid I am. But you deserved to relax, after all that work you've been putting in for the past few days. And I wanted to give you something that would let you relax.

In the end, you came. And the day was happy.

Maybe we'll do this again?

... And the little boys
They steal the show...

It was, in short, a phenomenal, phenomenal night.

The game was good. So good, in fact, it verged on the ridiculous, full as it was. It almost went to sleep towards the end as the tiredness crept in from all that excitement. It threatened to stretch us in terms of how long we could wait.

And then, it happens. One. Two. Danger.

Up stand the little boys, and suddenly, it all changes. One. Two. Nails disappear through all that biting.

The temperature heats up. One. Two. The bath gets crowded.

And then, the little boys do it again.

It was a great match, that was for sure. And it was a great evening, not just because of the match.

The visiting band? Was great! I didn't rock to it - I seldom rock to bands - but it made for a very pleasant surprise as long as you weren't stupid enough to reject it out of hand.

And we all know why the band was happy...

You did great. I don't know how many people will tell you this, but you did great.

Too bad you missed the fun upstairs. But you did your work well, again, quietly in the background.

Meanwhile I was this loud and tense presence upstairs. As usual. Hopefully not annoying.

But I enjoyed it tonight.

And I wish I could have told you in the face. And I wish I remembered to ask you.

Still, looking at your face, I guess you enjoyed it, too.
